Top New Year’s Resolutions for Free in 2025:

  • Not stepping on a scale
    • This has been one of the most powerful changes that I have made for my own mental health and body image over the past 2 years.
  • Daily journaling
    • You can find Guided Journaling Sessions over on the Bloomera Podcast from everything from self-discovery, healing your inner child, and even a daily reflection journaling session. You can also get my FREE DIGITAL PLANNER, filled with daily journal prompts.
  • Drink more water
  • Start a new gratitude practice
    • Check out my nightly gratitude practice (listen on Apple, Spotify, or wherever you tune into podcasts)
  • Do a guided meditation once a day
    • I find them over on Spotify or Apple – somewhere you won’t run into ads as much because this can disrupt the meditation.
  • Quit drinking alcohol
    • I’m currently over a year alcohol-free and loving it. You’ll also save a fair amount of money if you are a regular or social drinker!
  • Using a different and more intentional motivation for working out
    • Working out to be stronger, more flexible, to calm your nervous system, for self-defense, or to keep up with your kids. Instead of doing it to lose weight, fit into a certain size, or “bounce back”.
I focus more on what my body can do instead of how it looks. My workouts are more empowering and no longer filled with shame. You can start with a daily walk or find workouts for free over on YouTube.
  • Set boundaries
    • Start setting new boundaries in your life. It can be super challenging but even more rewarding. Saying no to others can mean saying yes to yourself! Check out my episode on Bold Boundaries: How to Powerfully Say No, Speak Up for Yourself, and Set Strong Boundaries with Amy Green Smith over on YouTube, Apple, Spotify, or wherever you find podcasts.
  • Volunteer or donate Items
    • If you need a place to start – consider volunteering for an organization that you feel passionate about. Or donating gently used clothes you no longer wear to a DV Shelter.
  • Reach out to a friend or loved one each week
    • I have a daily prompt in my FREE DIGITAL PLANNER for a meaningful connection. It helps me to reach out and send someone love, even if it’s just a super quick text.
  • Create a vision board to clarify your goals and dreams for the next year
  • Reduce phone time & take a break from social media
    • Setting screen-free times during my day has been incredibly beneficial to my mental health. I recommend it to everyone – especially as one of the top new year’s resolutions for this year. Check out my episode on this topic: ๐Ÿ“ฒ DIGITAL DETOX: Taking a Break From Social Media and Your Phone [BONUS: Journal Prompts for Social Media Breaks] available on YouTube, Apple, Spotify, and everywhere else you can find podcasts.
  • Replace one bad habit with a new, positive one
    • I have a habit tracker available in my FREE DIGITAL PLANNER that can help you stay motivated and see the progress of your new habits!
    • Support your local library and borrow books from them. If you have a Kindle or would like to read on your phone, you can use the Kindle and Libby apps to borrow e-books from your local library as well! Consider joining a book club as well! Bloomera even has one, feel free to contact me to learn more.
  • Get more sleep
    • I think most people are probably lacking in this department – especially if you are a parent or struggling with insomnia. My top sleeping tips are available in my episode: 21 Tips for Better Sleep available on Apple, Spotify, or wherever you find podcasts.
  • Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle More Often
    • Save money (and the planet!) by minimizing consumption, finding creative ways to reuse or repurpose items, and committing to recycling all eligible materials consistently.
  • Continued personal growth
    • Focus on a new personal growth goal each month instead of one goal per year. I talk about how this is my absolute TOP new year’s resolution every year on my podcast. You can join a 16-Week Challenge for Personal Growth & Transformation (with a FREE BONUS DIGITAL PLANNER) that focuses on this very topic!

Make a Promise to Yourself

I need you to make a promise to yourself to try for 3 months and stick to it – donโ€™t worry, Iโ€™ll be by your side through it all -especially if you take full advantage of my free challenge, the free digital planner, and subscribe to the podcast so you donโ€™t miss out on any new episodes! But remember, a resolution is really just a promise to yourself. So letโ€™s make that promise now.

Then, letโ€™s talk about how to follow through with that promise in the challenge mentioned above.
